From airports to downtown

Tucson International Airport is 10 miles South of Tucson.

Sun Tran. Regular buses, the exact fare of $1 must be paid in cash when boarding the bus. Buses leave the airport to downtown about every half hour. Here is the schedule. One can exit at University Blvd, then walk 10-15 minutes to Sahara (West) or Sheraton (East). We do not recommend it at night.
Arizona Stagecoach ($17/person). There is a counter at the airport, next to the bagage claim.
And there are taxis waiting at the airport, the fare is about $35/taxi.

Phoenix Sky Harbor is 100 miles from Tucson. A convenient way to go to Tucson is the Arizona Shuttle.

From downtown to the airports

We will try to group the departures, so as to share taxis.

Visit of the Desert Museum

Interested people must sign up for the visit, and we need to charge $5. Vans will pick up people Wednesday at 1:30pm in a location to be determined. Contrary to what the name suggests, this is an outdoor event, eggheads should not forget to take a hat!

The Campus

The campus of the University of Arizona has two coffee shops (Canyon Cafe and Starbucks), a bookstore, and several dining facilities. Here is a map of the campus. Everything is located at or close to the Student Union. There are also several museums worth a visit, especially the mineral museum.
